Whom We Serve
The Red Wagon Ministry is an all volunteer supported agency that uses nearly 100 percent of its funding to purchase disposable baby diapers, adult underwear/briefs, incontinence pads, and wipes. In CCAP’s Baby and Toddler Room, founded by the Ministry over seven years ago, approximately 90 families per month receive clothing, diapers, and wipes. Diapers are also distributed at FISH of Clarke County, but the need is far less with only nine babies/toddlers assisted monthly.
As the Baby Boomer generation ages the number of individuals living on fixed incomes has also increased. Today, as many as 15 percent over the age of 65 suffer from a medical condition known as incontinence. Having to purchase products to remedy this concern can further burden already strained finances. The organizations, SAAA and Highland Food Pantry, collectively provide monthly aid to over 220 senior clients. These donated vital necessities allow individuals, who stay home to minimize embarrassing accidents, to resume active lifestyles.
